Where to find Molhu

Stays in one place:

  1. Skyrest Bridge

Read from the quest-step spawners placed in the game's levels: each step of their questline is its own spawner, so this is the route rather than a single address. The files give the region, not the exact spot within it. Datamined

Questline — The Umbral Realm Guide

An Umbral High Priest who exists only on the dead side of reality. Merchant, lamp upgrader, and the one who turns Boss Remembrances into boss gear. He never relocates.

Run-ending mistakes

  • Killing Molhu removes every service he offers and can block the Umbral ending. He is easy to hit by accident, since he only exists in Umbral where you are usually swinging at things.

Where they start

Skyrest Bridge — from the main hall entrance take the stairs on the left into a small chamber, then raise the lamp. Your lamp glowing and humming is the cue. · Nearest vestige: Vestige of Ethryg

The route

What he does for you

Antediluvian Chisels

Hand them over to upgrade the Umbral Lamp. Each tier gives more Soulflay charges, more Umbral Eye sockets and better Dread resistance. The single most valuable thing he does for a first-time player.

Bowl of Revelations

Looted from an Umbral Belly in Pilgrim's Perch. Unlocks the Remembrance Offering service and expands his shop.

Boss Remembrances

Most major bosses drop one. Turn them in for that boss's unique gear, paid for in Umbral Scourings rather than Vigor.

His part in the Umbral ending

He owns the glass columns at Skyrest where Umbral Parasites are inserted. Each parasite plus a Seedpod opens one of the four platforms in Mother's Lull. The fourth resolves through him: after you insert Elianne's parasite he reveals he kept the last seedpod, uses it on himself, and dies. That is scripted. He also sells the Umbral Scouring Clump for 50 Umbral Scourings, the only way into Mother's Lull and therefore required for both the Umbral ending and Exacter Dunmire's questline.

Worth knowing

  • Costly: Boss Remembrances do not carry into New Game Plus. Cash them all in before you finish the run.
  • The Bowl of Revelations is easy to walk past inside its Umbral Belly. Not hard-missable, but his best stock stays locked until you have it.
  • Upgrade the lamp before the Umbral-heavy areas — the Fief of the Chill Curse and Upper Calrath. Extra Soulflay charges change how survivable they are.

Steps and outcomes are confirmed in play — the game files record quest steps but not reliably what triggers them, so this is the one part of the page that is not datamined. Reward names are checked against our own item data at build time. Verified in game
