Swing an axe of Umbral magic, causing a line of damaging ice formations to erupt from the ground and inflict frostbite buildup.

Hidden lore — revealed in game at high Inferno or Radiance

Following his disappointment at the true nature of Kinrangr, Svornil sought to leave Mournstead with his Umbral lamp only to discover that as a lampbearer, as long as he was bound to that mission, so was he bound to Mournstead.

Multipliers of what?

Of the carrier. A ×2.00 fire multiplier means twice the umbral catalyst's fire attack rating — so the same spell produces a different number on every carrier, and on every upgrade level.

The combined figure is not published yet: the multipliers are extracted, but the arithmetic joining them has not been checked against the game.

About that wither damage

Wither is deliberately kept out of the damage figure above. Wither does not take health off. It turns that portion of the bar white — still there, but held.

Land another hit before they hit you and the white converts into real damage. Let them get one in on you first and they heal it straight back. It works on you in exactly the same way, which is the whole trade: wither rewards staying on the offensive and punishes backing off.

So the figure above is what lands immediately. The wither sits on top of it, and whether you collect it is down to how the fight goes.

Confirmed in play. The game's tables carry the wither values but say nothing about how they resolve, so the behaviour here comes from watching health bars rather than from extraction.

That drop rate looks low — is that right?

It is. Enemies that cast a spell drop it at roughly 2–3%, and for most spells that is the only way to get one — no vendor sells them. Expect to kill the same enemy dozens of times.

Rates are read from the game's loot tables, not estimated from play.
